About
Shomi Noise is a musician, DJ, writer and storyteller with an established reputation in the Brooklyn queer underground scene. She uses music to share empowering messages with the world through creative sets that mix various genres & sounds ranging from reggaeton, cumbia, punk, hip-hop and pop. She has performed at many venues and iconic places in New York City, such as The Whitney Museum of American Art, Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM), The Brooklyn Museum, The Brooklyn Botanic Garden, and most recently The Grandstand Stage of The Official NYC Pride March. She produces a beloved underground queer latinx party in Brooklyn called Riot Chica and is also the lead singer of the Brooklyn based Selena Quintanilla punk tribute band Amor Prohibido.
