Amor Prohibido is a Selena Quintanilla tribute band from Brooklyn that interprets Selena’s hits with a unique punk and rock ‘n roll edge. They celebrate Selena as a Latinx cultural icon, while also embracing intersectional narratives of immigration, queerness, feminism, and DIY punk politics. They have been featured in The Village Voice, Telemundo & Remezcla and have had notable performances at The Brooklyn Academy of Music and The Whitney Museum of Art.
